Description
Biiiiig file size. Couldn't bring myself to make it smaller. But anyways, this is how I do crap.
STEP 1: sketch
Now, I always make sure that my sketches are really REALLY detailed, and as you can see I even wrote notes on his tie so that I knew the color pattern. Also, I find it helpful to draw lines with a ruler where the cutoff is.
STEP 2: inks
I make my inks with faber castell pens. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who likes to color with markers, or even colored pencils. When they're dry they don't bleed through the paper or into you markers. Works especially well with copic. Cheap, too. And common. It doesn't matter whether or not the you make mistakes when its in the black, so I kind of get really messy there ( like on the hair or his uniform)
STEP 3: colors
This part, surprisingly, takes the least amount of time for me. I use copic sketch markers. When I want to shade with them, I simply go over the color again with the same marker. Its an amazingly easy and simple technique so im gonna say im still not too advanced with them, even after a year. if any of my marker goes outside the lines I simply use my photoshop magic. Also, if you have photoshop, it really helps your drawings if you use the burn tool twice on any drawing. It makes the "crush the blacks effect" on your drawing. (Thats not racist! Thats a color correction term!)
